Autumn is just around the corner

This morning I decided to make the most of the sunshine and autumnal colours that are starting to make an appearance in our garden. Autumn is, for the most part, my favourite time of year. I know that it means summer is over for another year and instead of wearing shorts and tshirts you have to dig out your winter woolies, but I can't wait to wear my new scarf and winter boots and for the leaves to change colour and start falling off of the trees. I also love it because it is a beautiful time of year for photos!

Sleepy

There is something so special about newborn babies. They are just so tiny and cuddleable. When I see baby E next week she will be three months old - where does the time go? Here she is sleeping peacefully on "that" day in June when England got knocked out of the World Cup by Germany.

Perfection

When one of my best friends announced that she was pregnant I knew that I needed to plan a couple of trips back home to Essex to coincide with her due date. I arranged two visits, two weeks apart. Little baby E made an appearance 10 days after her due date and right in the middle of my two visits! She was definitely worth the wait. I'm smitten. There's nothing quite like a cuddle with a very tiny newborn baby. I took a lot of photos, she is just so beautiful. It's amazing to see how much she changed over the two weeks that I was in Essex. Here she is at 11 days old.

A year ago today...

...I was at Wembley Stadium watching Take That's The Circus Tour with my lovely friends. An absolutely amazing show, I don't know how they can possibly improve on it with their next concert.

Seaside

You can't beat a trip to the seaside, especially when the sun is shining. Hasn't it been a beautiful couple of weeks weather wise... i'm loving it! Clacton is a typically British seaside resort, it has a lovely pier with a helter skelter on it, amusements, a nice beach and some good shops.

Summer is on its way

I'm once again behind on blogging, I took these photographs a couple of weeks ago. I feel very fortunate because these fields are just a five minute walk from where I live. You can't beat a blue sky with fluffy white clouds against the yellow of rapeseed flowers. It feels like summer is finally on its way!

First Birthday

A few weeks ago I spent the morning with this little lady on her first birthday. She's such a happy, smiley little girl. She was determined to get hold of my camera, I think she was curious as to what the big black thing was that I kept on pointing in her direction.

May Day

Another blossom photo but I can't resist! I hope everyone is having a lovely May day weekend :)

Bursting into life

I finally got out to take some photos of the beautiful blossom in our garden this morning. Spring is well and truly here, and it's about time! I'm loving how everywhere is bursting into colour. Now all we need is some warm weather.





And the grape hyacinths in our front garden looked great close up too...

The End

..of my 365:2010 project. On Friday 26th March I completely forgot to take a photo, I don't know how I could forget :( I didn't even realise that I had missed the day until I woke up on Saturday morning - I was not happy! I am quite disappointed, I was pleased with my project up until this point.

From now on my project will be a photo every so often for 2010. It has been quite nice not being under pressure to find a photo every day since then, I was beginning to take uninteresting photos for the sake of taking a photo. After a little break I hope to start this project again.
